Dane Cook takes on California for 500k Mistake
The State of California might be trying to make money off of Dane Cook. The superstar comedian is claiming to be a victim of a mistake made by the Tax Board of California.
The state has issued a tax lien against Dane for $515,430.43 for unpaid taxes in 2005, 2006, and 2007. That is a lot of money for the comedian who has made a well-known name for himself with his career.
Dane Cook told TMZ that the State of California is “in the process of removing this mistaken lien from their records.”
Another Real Housewife Faces Reality
The Bravo Network might want to consider changing the name of their popular show, “Real Housewives of Orange County” to “Living Within Your Means.” Housewife, Tamra Barney, just recently got rid of her her 4,300 square foot home in a short sale.
Tamra and her soon to be divorced husband, Simon Barney, bought the home for $1.32 million back in 2005. The home is a five bed, four-and-a-half bath stunner in the heart of Orange County. The couple poured money into the property by fixing it up with a new pool, spa, waterfall, nice bar, and landscaping.
The now single Tamra is back to work at a real estate firm and working on a new make-up line. While the popular tv show continues to follow the rich and beautiful around for it’s six season now, it has shown these woman taking a financial dive in the so-called “reality.” Of course, you can catch all the housewife drama on the Bravo Network.
Heidi Montag’s mom heads to foreclosure in Colorado
While Heidi Montag is busy spending gobs of cash on plastic surgery, her mother, Darlene Egelhoff, is on the verge of losing her Colorado home to foreclosure, according to TMZ.com.
Egelhoff — whose maternal genes apparently didn’t sit well with “The Hills” starlet — owes $187,385.62 for a loan she took out back in 2006.
It’s unfortunate because Heidi’s mother (based loosely on watching the MTV “reality” show a handful of times against our will) seems to be the only sane one in the family.
That apparently isn’t worth much.
It’s not a stretch to think that perhaps Darlene just gave up completely, sick of Heidi’s complete obsession with restructuring her body and mind-boggling devotion to on-and-off-again boyfriend, manager and total dweeb, Spencer Pratt.
Pratt, alone, would make just about anyone want to “walk away.”
Victoria Gotti May Soon Be Out Of Foreclosure
It seems like Victoria Gotti is back in the money. Last week she reportedly agreed to pay the US Government $2.6 million dollars to buy out forfeiture claims involving properties in Queens. These properties were formerly owned by her ex Carmine ‘the thug’ Agnello.
Sources close to Gotti advise that she is in the midst of clearing out her ‘foreclosure issue’ on her 6,000 sqft home.
Screech Finally Gets on the Foreclosure List
Screech from Saved by the Bell is about to enter his name on the celebrity foreclosure list if he doesn’t start making some money. Screech, who’s real name is Dustin Diamond…in case you really wanted to know, is over $250k behind on his Wisconsin home.
Dustin Diamond has been in foreclosure trouble before back in 2006 but was able to avoid the loss by selling t-shorts with “save my House” written on them. I doubt the t-shirts will save him this time.
