Nicolas Cage owes millions to the IRS
Nicolas Cage is having financial trouble? Yes, he sure is. The million dollar Hollywood actor, who has starred huge movies like National Treasure, World Trade Center, and Gone in Sixty Seconds, is now seeing some of his properties disappear in auctions.
Cage’s New Orleans homes will be put up for auction on November 12th. The homes had an unpaid mortgage debt totaling over 5-6 million dollars. These homes aren’t the only investments Nicolas Cage has. Cage’s home in Hollywood and in Germany are up for sale in order for him to pay the IRS what is owed to them.
So where in the world did all the money go? Cage is certain that his former business manager, Samuel Levin, has had something to do with it. Levin is getting sued by Cage for 20 million in damages. According to Cage, his manager wasn’t paying taxes and was putting money in very risky real estate investments. Looks like someone has some explaining to do.
Toni Braxton Has More Than Health Problems
Six-time Grammy winner, Toni Braxton, has more problems to deal with other than her health. Braxton has been defaulting on her mortgage payments for her home in Century City, California. She owes more than $12,500 bucks to Bank of America and they are going to foreclose if she doesn’t pay up.
It isn’t certain whether the singing diva will be able to pay up the owed amount especially since she has been battling health problems. Braxton has since closed down her Vegas shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel. She has been treated before for a heart condition called pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart.
Pam Anderson Loses Her Shirt With A Construction Company
Former Baywatch babe, Pam Anderson, seems to be fighting a lien filed against her by a construction company. The former actress apparently owes the company over 600k for building her house. Anderson is disputing the allegations that she is having financial problems.
In a statement sent out by Pamela she said her lawyers were reviewing the situation with the construction company. Pam also stated, “Mistakes may have been made in calculating taxes owed and we are now in the process of ensuring that any taxes owed are paid.”
Pam Anderson has recently been promoting a new clothing line she created with Richie Rich called, A*Muse.
Joey Gladstone is Facing IRS trouble
Dave Coulier from the show, Full House, is apparently in some trouble with the IRS. Coulier, who played Uncle Joey Gladston, is back by almost $50,000 dollars in state and federal tax debt.
The IRS filed a tax lien in the amount of $37,063 in March of 2008. They aren’t the only ones after him. In May, Coulier had a lien in the amount of $11,793 filed against him in the state of California. Looks like things went downhill after the ABC sitcom show went off the aire.
Dave is currently doing stand-up comedy in the US and Canada.
La Toya Jackson Losing Home
When it’s news from the Jackson family these days, it’s usually not good.
Michael Jackson’s older sister, La Toya, is about to lose her luxurious condo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The property is located in the Regency Towers of Las Vegas International Country Club. She reportedly owes $745,670.27 on a home she paid $260,000 for back in 1996, according to TMZ.
Yep, she tripled her money on the refinance and is now heading for the hills — she apparently had all her personal effects packed up and shipped elsewhere last month.
No wonder we’re in the midst of an epic financial crisis.
Anyway, La Toya has to come up with the cash by the end of the month or she’s going to lose this Las Vegas hot spot. Don’t hold your breath.
The Clark County Recorder’s office has a scheduled auction date for the condo on September 30. We may see more of this after Michael Jackson has died since the money has officially run out. He was a big part of why the family had so much money in the first place.
