Evander Holyfield in Contempt of Court
It looks like the legendary boxer; Evander Holyfield is having difficulty dodging these financial blows. Once again, he is back in the news, but this time he is being held in contempt of court in Georgia. He failed to pay $563,900.91 in back child support.
According to TMZ, this original debt stems from the initial payment of over $372,000. The child support is for his 18-year old daughter, Emani.
Holyfield was found in contempt of court by the judge who ordered him to pay $2.950 a month to settle the debt. However, the boxer did make an initial payment of $17,700, but the judge ordered a percentage of his income to be earmarked in order to pay down the debt.
Octomom Films Pornographic Movie to pay Rent
Nadya Suleman, or better known as Octomom, has been struggling to find a place to live since her foreclosure. In March, she went off welfare and needed to find a way to make ends meet. This is when she decided to accept the role in a pornographic film named (via TMZ), “Home Alone.”
She found a rental home in Palmdale, California. It has 5-bedrooms, 3-bathrooms and a 14,000-sqft backyard. Her monthly rent is $2,150.
This role allowed her to pay a nice deposit along with her next eight months of rent up front.
Jermaine Dupri Mansion Rescued from Foreclosure
Jermaine Dupri is a record producer, songwriter and hiphop artist. However, these days he is rapping to a different beat.
Dupri owns a huge property in Atlanta, Georgia. Once again, he rescued the home from foreclosure this week. The foreclosure auction was set for September 4th and the bank claims he missed $193,404 in mortgage payments.
Dupri asked the court to block the auction by filing an emergency motion. He said he only owes $89,901 and paid the bill in full by the time the motion was filed. At the last minute, the house was pulled off the auction block.
James Kane, Dupri’s attorney has responded (via TMZ) saying there was no foreclosure sale of the home and they are currently working with the lender to regarding the amount due.
